Slow Food East End’s ‘Snail of Approval’ is on the move!
We were founded in 2004 but it took another ten years for our organization to begin to award internationally recognized Snail of Approval awards. In 2014 Slow Food East End, awarded its first Snail of Approval to the North Fork Table & Inn honoring Chef Gerry Hayden and his Southold team for their farm to table mission. They were the first in a distinguished line of farms and restaurants that were initially recognized for their sustainable businesses who prioritized growing, providing or sourcing local foods.
