Sagaponack Farm and Distillery Awarded a Snail of Approval

Sagaponack Farm and Distillery is a gorgeous setting, welcoming guests to enjoy relaxing where the family legacy of local Foster Family farming dates back 155 years.  The farm’s crops continue to be a vital local resource as shown by the large number of restaurants that utilize its bounty.

Looking to diversify production from generations of potato farming thirteen years ago the family successfully entered the distillery business. It produces quality spirits at reasonable prices for all to enjoy. Currently the tasting room is open from Thursday to Monday. The tasting room is lively gathering place and serviced by a personable and efficient staff. Dean and his sister Marilee, the owners, are extremely proud of their enterprise.

With sustainable farming practices and long time employees Sagaponack Farm Distillery truly embodies the Slow Food ideals and has earned our Snail of Approval award.   We look to spotlight businesses that are making a meaningful impact; whether through sourcing, sustainability, cultural connection, community support, or strong business values.  It’s exciting to watch legacy farmers pivot to produce new products and spirits from those same crops.   Bravo to the Foster family and their team at Sagaponack Farm and Distillery.
