Meet New People with a Snail Supper
March 8, 2012 in Events, Latest News
“Snail Suppers” season is back, the warmer months when members’ get together at homes and other venues on the East End Fork for seasonal ”potluck” suppers featuring seasonal and local food and beverages. These events were initiated by members who wished to get together in less expensive, less formal settings than those found in restaurants. Participants are asked to and donate bring dish and a beverage and paid just $15 per person, with proceeds going to our edible schoolyard projects. The host provides the main dish.
If you are interested in hosting a Snail Supper this summer or fall, please contact Linda Slezak: Lndslzk1@gmail.com . The size of the group depends on you. It can be a small, intimate gathering or a larger event, indoors or out. The main goal is to celebrate food as a cornerstone of pleasure, culture and community, to meet new people and to have a great inexpensive meal with friends.
