Growing Farmers Film Debuts on North Fork

Growing Farmers, an 18 minute short film about how the Peconic Land Trust is encouraging a new breed of  young East End farmers will be shown on Saturday, June 8, from 3:00-4:30 pm at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library in downtown Cutchogue.  After the screening, several farmers featured in the film, including Chris Browder and Stephanie Gaylor, will discuss it with the PLT’s Dan Heston.

Directed by Michael Halsband, “Growing Farmers” won the Audience Choice Award for Best Short Film at the Hamptons International Film Festival in October 2012. Admission is free but reservations are requested. Please contact the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library at 631-734-6360.
