Award Winning Film Spotlights East End’s Young Farmers

Growing Farmers, an 18 minute short film about the rise of a new breed of young East End farmers  will be now available for viewing on the web, on TV and at several local venues. Directed by Michael Halsband and sponsored by the Peconic Land Trust, the film won the Baume & Mercier Audience Award at the Hamptons Film Festival last October.

Several Local viewing opportunities  are coming up soon.

Mar 22Sylvester Manor Educational Farm will host a screening and discussion at the Manor House at 7 pm.

Mar 23Long House Reserve in East Hampton will host a screening and panel featuring Michael Halsband and Hilary Leff beginning at 4:00 pm.

Apr. 20Hampton Library in Bridgehampton will screen the film followed by a discussion at 2:30 pm.

PlumTV: as part of its new documentary series, is showing Growing Farmers on its channels across the US.
