Slow Food East End Annual Meeting and Potluck Supper
Sunday, September 30, 2012, 4:00 – 7:00 pm
Hayground School, 151 Mitchells Lane, Bridgehampton, NY
RSVP: Mary Morgan at firstname.lastname@example.org
Slow Food East End’s Annual Meeting and Potluck Supper will be begin with the annual business meeting and election of officers, followed by a wonderful potluck meal of local foods prepared by Slow Food members (that means all of us)! If you’ve attended previous annual meetings, you know how much fun this is! And if you’ve never come to the annual meeting before, this is your opportunity to meet your fellow members and learn more about our chapter and the Slow Food movement on the East End.
Are you interested in becoming a part of the Slow Food leadership?
We are looking for candidates to run in our election as leaders. Because of its origins in Italy, sometimes Slow Food uses nominclature that is odd to U.S. ears. A “leader” is what other groups might call a board member.
We are a volunteer organization and the health and success of our chapter depends on members like you offering your talents and time to serve on committees and on the board. Please contact Mary Morgan email@example.com if you are interested. It’s a wonderful way to get to know people within the food community on the East End and to help educate the public about good, clean, fair food.
We really hope you can join us.
Please bring a dish for 6-8 people to share. We look forward to seeing you there!
