Slow Food member Al Goldberg is hosting a Clam Bake for Slow Food members and friends. But you must RSVP! This event will take place around the poolside at Al’s home in East Hampton. Space is limited so make a quick decision and reserve your space now!
Al is a lifelong fisherman and master custom rod builder, teaching rod building in regional workshops around the country and in the local adult ed and scout programs. He has taken up cooking as a hobby since he retired. Al attends cooking school during the winter in NYC. His specialty is seafood, however his friends are constantly pestering him for Osso Buco, Short Ribs and Gravlax. He makes a mean cheesecake, too! Al is a retired corporate executive and consultant in the direct marketing industry.
What to Bring:
Al is preparing steamed lobsters and fresh corn, steamed Spanish-style clams, his famous fishcakes, and key lime cheesecake. Guests are asked to bring side dishes such as salads or other summer favorites that serve 6-8 people. In keeping with the Slow Food tradition, please keep your potluck offerings fresh and local. Bring your own favorite beverage to share – and try to make it local, too.
